Borowide Youth Group

Welcome to BYG,
Glad You’re Here!

Who Are We?

Borowide Youth Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the good news of the Gospel to Junior High and High School students. We provide a safe place for kids to come together and have fellowship with one another while also teaching them more about Christ and how to strengthen their relationship with Him. Our team volunteers and prepares memorable events that not only provide your child with a fun time, but points to Christ in the process.

Meet The Team

Hi my name is Jeanine Mccann and I am the director of the Borowide Youth Group. I attended CSI and have a degree in Psychology/Special education. I have been involved in ministry since I was 17. I am apart of the BYG team because I am passionate about sharing Jesus with others and how He has been apart of my life. My favorite thing to do is have adventures with my family. My favorite BYG activity is the pool party we have in the summer.

Hi my name is Tom Tellefsen or the games guy. I graduated from Brooklyn college with a masters in Psychology. I have been serving in youth ministry since i was a tennager. I am apart of the BYG team because I believe that people should know about Christ especially youth. My favorite thing to do is play games whether its youth group games or board games. My favorite BYG activity is color wars.

Hey everyone! My name is Lisa DeCarlo. I graduated from Messiah College with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. I have been involved with ministry for over 10 years. I joined the BYG team because I believe it’s important to leave a positive impact on the next generation and show them how important and significant God is in our lives. It’s hard to be a teenager and I want to use what I experienced in my life to help the teenagers of today whether it be personal issues, navigating life, or how to strengthen their relationship with God. I love to hangout with others and play games. My all time favorite BYG activity is the Hayride/Corn Maze.

Hi my name is Kylie Mccann, and I graduated from Cairn University with a degree in Psychology. I’ve been involved in youth ministry since I was 16. I joined the BYG because I got so much out of it when I was in it, and I wanted to be able to give back in any way I could. One of my favorite things to do is play volleyball. My favorite BYG activity is playing occupation!

My name is Matthew Keeler and I am a current college senior at Macaulay Honors College at the College of Staten Island. I am currently on track to become a High School Mathematics teacher, with some background in Computer Science. I have been a part of the BYG for 8 years (4 as a kid and 4 as a leader). I joined the BYG when I was younger when all of my friends started to go and they invited me as well. I always attended church, but this was my first experience of consistent fellowship with kids my age. I decided to join the ministry team because I do not know where I would be today without the BYG. I wanted to give back and provide the same experience I had for the next generation. My favorite thing to do is either play sports, video games, or just spend some quality time with my friends. Throughout the year my favorite BYG activity is Tundra because it provides a unique opportunity to connect with fellow believers and truly witness God working and allows us to spread His love in ever-widening circles.

My name is Jordan Naicker. I graduated from Ramapo College with a degree in Music Production. I have been involved with ministry for about a year. Hi…my name is Daniel DeCarlo. I graduated from Cairn University in 2021 with a degree in Computer Science. I have been involved with various ministries since my youth whether it was being an attendee or volunteer. I started in BYG since I was able to first go in 7th grade and have been involved since. I joined the BYG team to serve and give back to the next generation so that they may experience all the great things I was able to. My favorite Youth Group activity is the Food War that we have in the summer (it’s not only a fun time, but gives me a free meal).
